The Christian School Owners Association of Uganda (CSOA) is looking for Nursery, Primary and Secondary teachers with the necessary knowledge, skills, online teaching aids, availability and the interest to facilitate lessons under a pilot Online Classes Program, with support from Edify Uganda and the ICT Teachers Association of Uganda (ITAU).
The objective is to use enabling technologies to prevent student learning loss during this period of the COVID-19 pandemic, while also developing digital study resources which will also be utilized even after the lockdown by all learners in partner schools (including those who may be unable to join the pilot program during this period).
For the start, only 18 suitably qualified teachers are needed to kick off the program, and preference will be given to those who meet the following criteria:
- The applicants should be having a laptop and access to stable internet at their places of residence.
- The applicants should be conversant with digital content creation (using tools like Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint).
- The applicants will be facilitated and also taken through a two day orientation on delivering live classes online using Zoom, Google Classroom and Kolibri, but should ideally have the basic ICT skills and devices to start with.
